Who Is ICE?
ICE is an online school offering state-approved continuing education coursework for real estate license renewal. ICE specializes in distance learning education using the Internet for delivery. ICE is currently licensed as a CE provider in 13 states: Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia.

How long are my courses available to me?
You have six months to complete your purchased courses. Any courses not completed within the six months will have to be repurchased. Once a course is completed and a Certificate of Completion is issues, access to the course will expire.

How do ICE courses work?
Each ICE online course is broken down into modules. At the end of every module is a short quiz. In order to proceed to the next module, you must answer a percentage of the module quiz questions correctly (this passing percentage is set by your state regulators). You can retake the quiz as many times as required in order to achieve the required passing percentage.

When I use the Internet, it's only for a short time. Can I start and stop any course as many times as I want?
Yes. As you read through a course's modules, your progress is automatically "bookmarked." If you have gone through part of a course and stop, when you come back to our site and re-enter your course, the system will ask if you want to start where you previously left off. We advise that you click YES to return to the bookmarked page. You can start-and-stop any course (connect to the Internet) as many times as you want.

Can I read more than 1 course simultaneously?
Yes. Each course will have its own bookmark, so you can start any course at any time without having to finish another course. The ICE learning process will not allow you to use more than one course simultaneously (meaning: you cannot open two browser windows to use two separate courses simultaneously.)

Do I have to always use the same computer?
No. You can connect to the Internet using any device, log in using your ICE student number and password, and use your courses for as long as you want. Most people study at work during the day and at home in the evening and on weekends.

What browser should I use?
Our system works with most browsers. Specifically, for Windows computers, Mozilla Firefox v 18 or older, and Google Chrome v 24 or older. For Apple users, Safari v 5.1 or older.

Why do I have to stay on a slide for a specific amount of time?
Some states require "seat time", which means you must spend a minimum amount of time online in the class. All of our courses are self-paced, but in states requiring seat time, there is a clock that you may view that will track the amount of time you spend in the course. When you meet the minimum time required and have completed all modules and quizzes, you may proceed to the final exam (for MCE Courses only) or to print your Certificate of Completion.

How does ICE know that it's really ME taking the courses?
ICE takes identity fraud seriously. Each user has a unique username and password that we encourage users to store in a safe location to prevent identity fraud. In addition, all usersmust acknowledge that they are the one taking the course during purchase and at the end of the course, before receiving access to the course completion certificate.

What happens when I finish a course's on-line modules?
After completing each module, you must return back to your MY CE COURSES page to your course list. From here, you will click to begin the next module. Once you complete all modules, and the survey, and a final exam if your state requires it, you will receive access to your Completion Certificate.

What happens if I buy ICE courses, and don't like them?
ICE's Refund Policy:All requests for any refund will be denied by ICE except where the following conditions are met:
-the student desires a refund for a course that has not expired past the initial order period of 180 days.
-the online course version has not been completed.
-for states where CE includes testing, the test or final exam has not been started online

All refunds after 7 days of purchase will incur a $15.00 processing fee.

Why does ICE need my Social Security Number?

Only customers licensed in Virginia, Illinois, & Michigan need to register with their social security number. Virginia requires this on reports we send to them notifying them of licensees who have completed CE using our coursework. Michigan requires that we report the last 4 digits of the social security number as well.
